A lifelong passion for beauty
PAPILIA® was founded by professional makeup artist and beauty educator Shonagh Scott, following over two decades spent working with makeup and 15 years of teaching an international online community how to enhance their features with confidence.
Why PAPILIA® was created
Throughout her career, Shonagh has always believed that the most beautiful makeup should enhance rather than overpower. Lashes, in particular, can completely change the balance of an eye look, yet finding styles that offer definition without heaviness often proved surprisingly difficult.
PAPILIA® was created to fill that space: refined, flattering lashes designed to complement the eyes and allow the makeup beneath them to remain beautifully visible.
The meaning behind PAPILIA®
The name PAPILIA® is inspired by the Latin word papilio, meaning butterfly, and the ideas of transformation, delicacy and beauty that it represents.
From this grew the four pillars at the heart of the brand: Light, Growth, Transformation and Beauty. These ideas are woven throughout the collection, including the predominantly Latin names chosen for each individual lash style.

Every PAPILIA® design is approached through the eyes of a makeup artist, with careful considering of proportion, placement, softness and the way a lash interacts with the finished makeup.
The result is a collection created with intention: elegant, considered lashes that enhance rather than disguise.
